Skin flux and rupture

On the evening of Friday 9th May 1997, Sgt Vincent Creelan of the RUC, went into the Parliament Bar in Belfast to ID the body of PC Darren Bradshaw.

At that moment Creelan’s body experiences a carnal wrench, fusing with the fate of Bradshaw in identification, sorrow and guilt, as he feels the protective layers of his identity cracking open.

In this second exploratory project with Vincent Creelan, we are looking at the rupturing of the skin between who we were and what we are about to become.
