Kage

Kage means “shadow” in Japanese.

Working with Kage Douglas to explore the idea of the Absent Body. By digitally removing the body we are left with the residue of the creative work. As though hollowed out, the body is still present but vacant, as if it has melted away leaving the paint as a shelf-standing crust. This allows us to contemplate how the textures change the terrain and therefore the reading of the body.
