Following on from Klein Bodies, part 1 and Klein Bodies, part 2, one of the drawings was turned into a 3D body in zBrush. In these images the surface has been peeled away to reveal the digital flesh. Normally I am interested in that which has been removed – the flayed skin or opened surface – but here we see that which has been uncovered, still moist as the “fluids” in the “meat” have not yet seeped away or dried in. This in itself is another layer of surface. While it appears to consist of flesh and bone, meat fibres, joints etc, closer inspection reveals it to be a shell.
